Classes will be held in our training rooms in Fortitude Valley from 9am to 5pm for each day of the class.

Students attend class 2 nights per week - Wednesday and Thursday nights for 5 weeks. Classes commence on Wednesday the 22nd of August and will be held in our training rooms in Fortitude valley from 6pm to 9pm.

The Certificate IV in Training and assessment is designed to meet the needs of new and existing personnel who design and deliver training and assessment within the Australian VET (Vocational Education and Training) sector using nationally recognised Training packages and accredited courses. Achievement of this qualification or an equivalent by trainers and assessors is a requirement of the Australian Quality Training Framework Essential Standards for Registration for Registered Training Organisations.

If your job role only encompasses a limited amount of training and assessing you may find that you do not require the entire qualification and completing one of our skill sets may assist you to meet your workplace requirements. Please see Skill Sets for more information.
The TAE 40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is a Nationally recognised training qualification and supercedes the TAA40104 and all other previous nationally recognised training qualifications for the VET industry. Job Roles
Job roles associated with this qualification relate to the delivery of training and assessment of competence within the VET sector. Job role may include:
- Enterprise trainer
- Enterprise assessor
- Registered Training Organisation (RTO) trainer
- RTO assessor
- Training advisor or training needs analyst
- Vocational Education Teacher
Entry requirements
There are no pre requisites requirements for this course, however computer skills and a reasonably high level of reading and writing ability is required. Participants will also need to possess vocational and industry competence in the specific field in which they have chosen to train and assess.
Pathways from this qualification
After achieving a TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, candidates may undertake TAA50104 Diploma of Training and Assessment or a TAE70110 Vocational Graduate Certificate in Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy.

Throughout the course participants will learn to:
- Access, read and interpret Training packages via the internet
- Develop and document learning programs and assessment tools
- Present information both written and verbal in a range of contexts
- Prepare a range of documents and records electronically
- Facilitate training in a range of contexts using a range of skills

TAE40104 consists of 10 units of competency. This is made up of 7 core units and 3 elective units.

TAEDES402A Use training packages and accredited courses to meet client needs
